The Dominica Museum is located on the Bay Front in a building that is over 200 years old; the Dominica Museum is on the upper floor with the Tourism Information Office in the ground floor. In the 2-storey stone colonial building houses artefacts of Dominican social, geological and cultural history and archeology. The museum’s humble collection includes old photographs, specimens of birds and fishes, colonial and pre-Columbian furniture, agricultural items and other cultural articles including a Pwi pwi (small-scale raft), domestic implements, wooden figurines, musical instruments and a replica of a Kalinago hut and Arawak pottery and tools,.
